Maker Faires are happening all over the world! It’s where people come together and share the fruits of their makerspace creations. These makerspaces are where components of S.T.E.A.M. flourish together, encouraging participants to create, share, and become inspired. Come see one of the greatest visual representations of collaborative creation and motivate your friends and family to get making!
Things you can do at a Maker Faire:
- Get ideas for repurposing items around your house
- Learn how to build a robot
- Spin yarn from wool and knit
- Recycle glass to decorate furniture
- Take things apart to see how they work
- Who: Creators of all ages that want to be inspired
- What: Maker Faire NoVa
- Where: George Mason University Fairfax Campus Johnson Center, The HUB, and The Mix@Fenwick buildings
- When: Sunday, March 18th, 2018 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Cost: Children 2 and under are free, Prices range from $2 for children to $12 Adults ($26 family of 5) Free parking in the Rappahannock and Shenandoah Garages
