Escape the heat, relax, and take in the fresh, calming air while you observe nature on horseback. One of the most enjoyable things to do in Shenandoah, horseback riding lets you observe the beauty of your surroundings with very little effort.
You do not need to know how to ride a horse. The guide and associates will help you with the equipment, mounting, riding, and dismounting. Everything needed is provided, but you will need to dress sensibly. Open toed shoes or heels are not allowed and you should wear pants if you don’t want your skin to rub on the saddle. Reservations are required for trail rides, but if you just want to take the kiddies over to the stable for a pony ride, you do not need a reservation. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time. Enjoy!
